Calling all bartenders! One of the most anticipated cocktail competitions, Patrón Perfectionists, is back! This call goes out to all bartenders from around the country that want to take their shot at the title of Patrón Perfectionists PH Champion. Each year, the competition brings a new level of flavor, creativity, and storytelling with Patrón Tequila at the center of it all. The program also highlights the efforts and accomplishments of bartenders all over the world, and strives to build and develop the bartending community.
This year’s entry challenge will be focusing on Patrón Reposado and the Paloma. The classic cocktail, Paloma, has gone from the simplest combo of tequila and mixer to being one of the most riffed off drinks around the world. Bartenders are tasked to produce a Patrón Paloma serve inspired by your favorite global city. The cocktail must contain 30 ml Patrón Reposado, soda water, and a homemade cordial that should contain grapefruit in some form. Garnish and salt rim are optional and can be adapted in any way. There is no strict guideline for glassware, but bear in mind that this is a Patrón Paloma challenge, so keep the spirit of the classic.
Bartenders are asked to submit one (1) cocktail, alongside a photograph (of the bartender and the cocktail), information about the bartender (name, bar name and location) and the cocktail (name, recipe, homemade cordial recipe, method, garnish, glassware style and volume, and ice), as well a short explanation (150 words) of the inspiration behind their serve. Share why your cocktail elevates the flavors of a Patrón Paloma and what your chosen global city means to you.
Bartenders are encouraged to register and create a profile as early as possible even if you don’t have a cocktail submission yet. Registering before August 15 will allow you access to educational modules that will help you get a better grasp of the brand and how best to utilize it, as well as one-on-one mentorship sessions with industry icons to help craft your identity.
The portal will be open for submissions until September 30, 2023.
