Smith Butcher & Grill Room bartender Cedric Cello‘s winning cocktail for La Maison Cointreau Manila 2016 landed him a spot to compete for the Philippines at the La Maison Cointreau regional finals in Phuket, Thailand. Gossip is a fruity cocktail reminiscent of a sweet summer interlude.
Ingredients:
- 30 ml Cointreau
- 30 ml Grey Goose L’Orange
- 30 ml fresh green mango juice
- 20 ml Giffard Watermelon Liqueur
- 2 sprigs basil
- 1 slice fresh watermelon
Directions:
- Muddle 1 slice of fresh watermelon in a rock glass and set aside.
- Pour ingredients in a shaker.
- Shake until chilled.
- Strain liquid in the rock glass.
- Add some ice.
- Garnish with watermelon ball, peel of green mango, and basil.
