A gin fizz is a classic cocktail made of gin, sours, soda, and sugar. This version adds the floral honeyed sweetness of elderflower liqueur and a cool touch of fresh cucumber for a refreshing drink on a hot day.
Ingredients:
- 25 mL Absolut Citron
- 25 mL Beefeater Gin
- 15 mL lemon juice
- 20 mL Giffard’s Elderflower Syrup (or St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur)
- 5 mL sugar syrup
- A dash of soda
- 2 thick wheels of cucumber
Glass: Collins glass
Directions:
- In a shaker, muddle the cucumber.
- Add all ingredients except for the soda.
- Add ice and shake until ice cold.
- Double strain into a collins glass.
- Add ice and top with soda.
- Garnish with a cucumber strip accordioned in a cocktail stick.
