As many of us mark the lunar new year on Jan. 28 with symbolic dishes for luck and prosperity, milkshake bar Shakeaway “shakes up” Chinese New Year celebrations with three new auspicious named shakes made with ingredients meant to bring you good fortune for the coming year.
Prosperity Pete is a blend of Jaffa Cakes (a biscuit-sized cake with a Genoise sponge base, orange flavored jelly, and chocolate) and Hershey’s Kisses topped with a Cadbury Flake.
Rich Richard is a sweet blend of mandarin orange (wealth) and mango topped with whipped cream.
Happy Hanna is a refreshing shake made of banana (wish for education) and pineapple (wealth, luck) topped with whipped cream.
The Shakeaway Chinese New Year limited menu is available only until Jan. 31.
Shakeaway is located at the Ground Floor Phase 2 of UP Town Center and open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
