DrinkManila Valentine’s Day Shooter: In The Mood For Love

< 1 minute

This Japanese-inspired shooter smells toasty (from the sesame seeds) and fresh (from the greens). Silky, savory, with a hint of spiciness from Sriracha and heat from the Sake, it has a creamy, egg-y finish. It’s like a little meal, with your rice (Sake), veggies (greens), protein (egg), and seasoning (Sriracha and sesame seeds).

Ingredients:

  • sake
  • ponzu or lemon juice
  • quail egg
  • scallions or leeks
  • sesame seed
  • caviar (optional)
  • Sriracha

Directions:

  1. Pour 1 inch sake int o sake or shot glass.
  2. Pour 1/4 inch ponzu or lemon juice.
  3. Crack quail egg and pour into glass.
  4. Add some lemon zest and thinly sliced scallions or leeks (or microgreens) and sesame seeds.
  5. Top with lumpfish caviar (optional).
