This one is for mommy on Mother’s Day. Herbaceous and earthy, this cocktail has a hint of citrus and a smoky finish. It’s kind of like a juice cleanse with a kick (wink wink). It’s like a salad that you drink, like a Bloody Mary. We suggest to enjoy it with prosciutto or smoked salmon, or something equally salty, to add to the experience.
Ingredients:
- 60 ml malunggay (moringa) juice
- 30 ml Johnnie Walker Black Label
- 30 ml calamansi juice
- 15 ml lemon juice
- 15 ml honey syrup
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
Direction:
- Put all ingredients in a shaker.
- Shake, then strain into a glass.
How to make malunggay (moringa) juice:
- If you don’t have a juicer (or one that can handle leafy greens), you can use a blender.
- Add some water to the malunggay leaves and blend.
- Add water until you get a juice consistency (you don’t want it thick, you don’t want it watery either) and strain.
