Hoegaarden celebrated its win at the World Beer Cup with a garden-themed afternoon party at the Manila House roof deck in Bonifacio Global City. Guests enjoyed arts and crafts, live music by the Ransom Collective, and free-flowing beer. Activities included customizing a Hoegaarden tote bag, adopting aerial plants (#HoeMyGaarden), and making string art.
The celebration toasted Hoegaarden Original White Ale’s Gold award in the Belgian-Style Witbier Category of the 2016 World Beer Cup. Known as the Olympics of beer competitions, the biennial World Beer Cup evaluates beers from around the world and recognizes the most outstanding breweries and beers. A panel of 253 beer judges from 31 countries around the globe assessed 6,596 entries from 1,907 breweries in 55 countries. Hoegaarden’s Original White Ale—a light and refreshing bière blanche with hints of clove, coriander, and Curacao orange peel—bested the 77 other witbiers in its category.
