World Gin Day was the brainchild of British blogger and ginthusiast Neil Houston. What started as a regular gathering of gin-loving friends back in 2009 has grown into a worldwide celebration with another ginthusiast Emma Stokes, aka the Gin Monkey, continuing the tradition of celebrating the juniper-based spirit. Today, World Gin Day is celebrated in over 30 countries, reaching about 50 million people from around the world.
To celebrate World Gin Day, GSM Premium Gin partnered with EDSA Shangri-La , Manila Hotel to bring gin lovers together for a month-long celebration. World Gin Day PH 2017 kicked off last June 1 at the poolside of the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City.
EDSA Shangri-La’s Executive chef Scott Brands created dishes to pair with GSM Premium Gin cocktails. GSM Premium Gin has been a Monde Gold Awardee since 2013. It’s currently exported to the U.S., Dubai, and Asia.
