The whole-day event includes a mini food festival and crafts market showcasing selected vendors and Cavite-based restaurants: Florita’s Grill, Siglo Modern Filipino Tagaytay, Malen’s, Salinas Foods, Aro-En Gourmet Salt, Big Ben’s Imus Longganisa, Liquido Maestro, Baloy’s Bakeshop, Destileria Limtuaco, Calle Real, Asiong’s, AWOF-The Association of Women in Organic Farming, The Wild Juan, Holy Crop, and Pangarap Foundation Inc. Guests can sample the local produce and buy products to take home.
Mixology enthusiasts and aspiring bartenders can attend a bartending exhibition by Liquido Maestro’s Kalel Demetrio. There’s also a cooking demonstration of traditional Cavite dishes by chefs Nancy Reyes, Tatung Sarthou, and Jam Melchor with the students of Brookfield Colleges, Dasmariñas, Cavite.
For families with kids, there are free tours of the Aguinaldo Shrine and children’s book reading sessions at the Anvil Publishing booth. Cavite National High School’s Special Program for the Arts will perform Fiesta de Cavite, Kasaysayan ng Kalayaan, and the official dance of the province, La Jota Caviteña.
Viaje Feliz aims to connect businesses and customers within the Cavite-Laguna corridor and sustain the public’s interest and excitement in the construction of CaLa-Ex. During the festivity, they will be introducing the eight exits of CaLa-Ex that will ease travel through the areas of Kawit, Imus, General Trias, Dasmarinas, and Silang in Cavite, as well as Sta. Rosa and Biñan in Laguna.
