The NUTcracker Cocktail Recipe by Edriane Lim

Recipe by Edriane Lim, senior bartender at ATLAS Singapore located at Parkview Square 600 North Bridge Road Singapore

“I wanted to re-create the Brandy Alexander using flavors that are richer and nuttier.” – Edriane

Ingredients:

  • 45 ml VSOP cognac
  • 30 ml full cream
  • 15 ml Averna Amaro Siciliano
  • 15 ml Frangelico

  • Glass: coupé glass
  • Garnish: cinnamon shavings on top and two pieces Pocky sticks
  • Ice: cubes

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients in a shaker.
  2. Shake and strain into a coupé glass.

Note: This drink is better if ingredients are mixed in a blender.

Tasting notes: The Averna Amaro Siciliano gives the drink honey-like sweetness, which goes well with the cognac. The Frangelico adds a rich nuttiness lifted by the velvety texture of the cream.
