Candy Rush Cocktail Recipe by Vanessa Rabadon

Recipe by Vanessa Rabadon, head bartender at Kampai, located at the second floor of Tambai, 5779 Felipe, Makati City

“The cocktail is inspired by my childhood days, when I used to hang socks on the door of my room during Christmas believing that Santa Claus would come and visit me while I was sleeping. Every Christmas morning I’d wake up to these socks filled with candies and lollipops!” – Vanessa

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz candy cane-infused Smirnoff vodka
  • 1/2 oz Giffard pomegranate syrup
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice
  • 1 oz cranberry juice
  • Egg white

 

  • Glass used: cocktail glass
  • Garnish: Lollipop, cotton candy, gummy tapes

Directions:

  1. In a tin shaker combine all the ingredients. Add ice and shake vigorously.
  2. Strain and pour over fresh ice.
  3. Garnish with lollipop, cotton candy and gummy tapes.
  4. Serve.

Tasting notes: It smells like a candy store—sweet and inviting. It’s not as sweet as you’d imagine based on the ingredients because the lemon and cranberry juice balances it to make for a refreshing Christmas treat.
