It’s Cinco de Mayo! Today, different parts of the world commemorate together with Mexico for the victory at the Battle of Puebla over the occupying French forces of Napoleon III on May 5, 1862. Over the years this holiday has evolved into a celebration of the Mexican heritage, and people have made it an excuse to indulge in quesadillas, tacos, and various cocktail mixes with tequila.

Most of the bars in the Metro are currently having their promotions for tequila shooters and tequila-based cocktails. But, if you’re planning to celebrate at home, here’s a list of fun cocktail recipes you can mix up and serve to your guests Cinco de Mayo:

1. Southern Sunshine
