This recipe is a great cocktail for afternoon happy hour. Surprise your friends with this sweet and sour Old Fashioned twist.
Ingredients:
- 60 ml Bacardi 8
- 15 ml Calamansi Shrub
- 1 dash Orange Bitters
- Dehydrated calamansi wheels
Directions:
- Chill glass with ice and set aside.
- Add all ingredients in a mixing glass, add ice, and stir
- Strain in a rock glass with ice.
- Garnish with dehydrated calamansi wheels
How to make the shrub:
- 250 g calamansi wheels (deseeded)
- 250 g raw sugar
- 1 tbsp pink peppercorns, crushed
- 250 ml cane vinegar or to taste
- Put calamansi and pink peppercorns in a bowl and cover in sugar.
- Cover and leave for at least 24 hours.
- Add cane vinegar and strain.
