After consecutive launches of The Macallan Edition No. 4 and unveiling of its new look across its Scotch whisky portfolio, The Macallan opens the first The Macallan Lounge in the Philippines at Mandalay Whisky and Cigars bar.
Macallan drinkers can enjoy their favorite Speyside dram at the new The Macallan Lounge at Mandalay starting this December. The refined lounge is suitable for a private and intimate nightcap.
At the lounge, Patrons will have access to an extensive selection of exquisite and rare whiskies from The Macallan: the 12 Year Old age statements of Sherry Oak, Double Cask and Triple Cask Matured, Edition Series, as well as the prestigious 1824 Masters Series collection – Rare Cask, Reflexion, No. 6 and M.
“The Macallan takes pride in having a fearless spirit and this spirit is why they partnered with Mandalay Whisky and Cigars to do The Macallan Lounge,” says The Macallan Philippine Brand Ambassador, Adrian Tecson.

Mandalay Whiskys and Cigars is hidden inside a closet at the back of The Belle & Dragon in Palanca street in Makati. The bar offers a wide array of spirits and tobacco that guests can enjoy.
“Mandalay is all about introducing people to the world of whiskey,” says General Manager of Mandalay Whiskeys and Cigars, Sunny Jhamtani. “People think that it’s complicated, but we are here to educate–so it’s more about educating people that there are different kinds of whiskys out there for everyone to try. Ideally, we opened Mandalay with that intention: to be one of the places that provide you with all kinds of whisky that you can find. We are here for beginners; we are here for a non-whiskey drinker. We are here for somebody who loves whiskey. All we want to do is unite them all in one roof,” he adds.
