La Mierda means “The Shit” in Spain and “Fuck It” in Argentina, but in the Philippines (lamyerda), it means to spend a leisurely time outdoors. This recipe is perfect when it’s so hot out that you say “fuck it” let’s drink, you’ll find that this cocktail is “the shit” and will make you feel like you’re strolling in temperate weather.
La Mierda is a fruity mix of flavors, with just a touch of smokiness from the tequila. The guyabano and pomelo give layered sourness to the drink, and the pomelo bits burst with flavor once bitten.
Ingredients:
45 ml tequila 3 pcs pomelo wedges (skinned) muddled 30 ml guyabano juice 15 ml orange Juice (Tipco) 15 ml triple sec/Cointreau 15 ml calamansi juice 20 ml Monin Agave syrup 1 dash Angostura bitters
Directions:
Rim glass with salt & sugar mix. Pour ingredients in a shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain the drink into a glass filled with ice. Squeeze pomelo skin for its oils. Garnish with pomelo bits on top of pomelo peel.
