In celebration of Harvey Wallbanger’s day on November 8, we’ve tweaked the classic recipe of vodka, orange juice, and Galliano. The dalandan juice adds a depth to the citrus flavors, and the homemade anise liqueur provides that classic sweet vanilla-anise taste. The result is a bright, fresh cocktail with a deep nutty finish.

Ingredients
45 ml Lemon Vodka 30 ml orange juice 30 ml dalandan juice 20 ml homemade anise liqueur (star anise and vanilla liqueur)
Directions
Pour ingredients in a shaker. Add ice and shake. Strain into highball glass with ice. Garnish with dehydrated orange and dalandan.
How to make homemade anise liqueur:
180 ml vanilla liqueur 3 pcs toasted star anise In a pan, toast star anise over medium heat. Stir frequently as the pan heats and star anise becomes fragrant. Transfer to bowl as it starts to brown. The residual heat will keep the cooking and toasting process going for a bit. If you wait until the star anise is very toasted in the pan, they will become burnt and bitter. Add the vanilla liqueur and bring the liquid to boil and simmer for 7 to 10 mins. Stir occasionally. Transfer to a container. Set aside and chill overnight to infuse flavors.
