The cocktail for the first fire sign of the year is a seductive and smoky concoction. Aries: The Ram, has a hint of fire, a touch of salinity from the chickpea brine, and holds well, even in ice. Best enjoyed with a dash of firewater bitters.
Ingredients:
45 ml Mezcal 30 ml pineapple shrub* 60 ml pineapple juice 7.5 ml elderflower liqueur 30 ml aquafaba 10 ml chili syrup
*pineapple shrub - infuse half a pineapple in half a cup of refined sugar and half a cup coconut sugar overnight; drain liquid and add 30 ml apple cider vinegar 30 ml white vinegar
Directions:
Pour ingredients into a shaker and dry shake. Add ice and shake. Strain into a glass with ice.
