Celebrate Easter with Butterball Old Fashioned! It’s another one of our favorite childhood treats mixed in an adult drink. This time we used the classic Peter’s Butterball Candy to amp up a rum old fashioned. The buttery goodness of the candy highlights the deep vanilla notes of rum, resulting in a lip-smackingly good cocktail that’s perfect for celebrating new beginnings.
*Best to use a big ice ball or cube for this drink.
Ingredients:
60 ml dark rum 10 ml Butterball syrup* 3 dashes chocolate bitters orange peel
*How to make Butterball syrup: Place 10 pcs of Peter’s Butterball Candies in a cup of water in a saucepan over low to medium heat. Stir until dissolved. Simmer for 5 minutes. Cool and strain into a container.
Directions:
Pour ingredients into a mixing glass. Add ice and stir. Strain into a glass with ice. Express oils of orange peel and garnish.
