While drinking a few glasses of water upon waking has many healthy benefits, here are some ideas to one-up your liquid intake at the top of the day—whether it’s to promote a healthy gut, enhance metabolism, replenish nutrients, or detox.

  • 1 heaping teaspoon camu camu
  • 1 heaping teaspoon spirulina
  • 1 heaping teaspoon chlorella
  • 8 oz glass of coconut water

This superfood tonic contains some of the most bioavailable nutrients on the planet. Camu camu is an excellent source of vitamin C, and one teaspoon has 400 times more vitamin C than one orange. Spirulina is an algae densely packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, trace elements, phytonutrients, enzymes, probiotics, and more protein per gram than any other known food. Chlorella is also an algae that contains the highest source of chlorophyll, a powerful detoxifying agent. Coconut water is used to make the ingredients more tolerable as well as provide the body with potassium.
