Japanese izakaya Zuma is excited to announce the extension of its seasonal residence in Phuket. Famous for its contemporary izakaya-style dining, Zuma has made a name for itself in cities like Hong Kong, Dubai, Maldives, Mykonos, Ibiza, Capri, and Cannes, offering guests a lively dining experience featuring quality dishes, creative cocktails, and a wide selection of wine and sake. The Phuket venue has been delighting guests at Anantara Layan Phuket Resort since its launch in 2016.
Located within the tranquil Anantara Layan Resort along the Andaman Sea, the Phuket location showcases the brand’s elegance with a tropical flair. The restaurant incorporates local culture and natural beauty, enhanced by captivating fire shows on the terrace every Friday and Saturday, along with fireworks on special occasions. This combination has made Zuma a staple in Phuket’s culinary scene.

Zuma Phuket features a variety of signature dishes found at all Zuma locations, along with its Heritage cocktail menu. This selection of drinks has been offered since Zuma’s inception 23 years ago and is served globally, ensuring that guests experience a sense of familiarity and comfort while traveling in foreign countries. Travelers and locals visiting the venue this season can enjoy the Daikoku tasting menu (THB4,850 per person), which features an assortment of dishes including Crispy Fried Squid with green chili and a splash of lime; thinly sliced Sea Bass finished with yuzu, truffle aioli, and glistening beads of salmon roe; and Spicy Beef Tenderloin seared with a sweet soy, sesame, and red chili gastrique. The premium Daikoku tasting menu (THB6,950 per person) elevates the experience with high-grade sashimi, including Yellowtail Sashimi and sliced Chu Toro drizzled with chili ponzu, coriander, and garlic crisps, as well as premium cuts of meat like seared Japanese A4 Wagyu Sirloin topped with truffle sauce and chili ponzu.

Zuma’s famed brunches are popular worldwide, and the Phuket branch hosts a feast on Sundays with their Baikingu Brunch (THB 3,900 for food only; THB 5,300 with Champagne). The brunch includes a spread of dishes such as Fried Softshell Crab and White Shrimp Tempura, as well as a selection of sashimi, followed by mains like Chilean Sea Bass or Teriyaki Salmon Fillet, with vegetarian options available.
