Joy Oyson, general manager of La Casa del Habano, is also the beverage expert behind the standout tea menu, carefully curating and blending each selection. The tea menu features traditional favorites such as green tea, jasmine bud, Earl Grey, chamomile, and chrysanthemum. Each delivers a crisp, familiar taste with a delightful aroma.

According to Joy, their green tea, sourced from China, offers delicate floral notes. The jasmine bud tea, made with whole flowers, lends hints of vanilla and licorice, making it a great choice for relaxation—similar to chamomile. Chrysanthemum tea, another popular option, is cooling and particularly refreshing in the summer.
At La Casa del Habano, only premium loose-leaf teas are used—never packaged—ensuring the best flavor and aroma. Joy discloses that their teas are sourced from top producers in Sri Lanka and China.

For those looking for a more layered taste, Joy recommends their tea blends.
One of the most popular selections is the sangria hibiscus, cranberry, rose hip, and orange, enjoyed for its more fruity and floral aspects. The detoxify mint, green tea, lemon, and ginger is a drink for those afternoons when you want something bright and refreshing.
The spiced life black tea with cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, clove, and vanilla has bolder flavors, best enjoyed with milk. It’s the La Casa version of chai masala.
Pair your tea with a selection of savory and sweet bites. Savory options include gazpacho, sandwiches, and crisps. The signature afternoon tea pastries are a must-try, featuring pistachio shortcake with baklava crisps, dark chocolate brownie ganache, pecorino cheesecake, and an assortment of petit carrot cake, truffle cream cheese with almonds, figs with queso de bola, and more. Of course, no high tea is complete without freshly baked scones served with clotted cream and rosemary-strawberry jam.

While La Casa del Habano is an ideal destination for afternoon tea, guests are welcome to stay late, as the venue is open until midnight. If you’re looking for tea later in the evening, you can order tea-based cocktails, a fun twist to the traditional drink.
