In anticipation of the much-anticipated Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants awards ceremony, set to take place in South Korea on March 25, 2025, travelers and locals can look forward to an exquisite dining experience in Seoul from March 22 to 26. Thirteen top Asian chefs will showcase their talents at five award-winning restaurants throughout the city. Renowned chefs from across the globe, featuring former award winners and up-and-coming talents, will team up with some of Seoul’s top restaurants to craft a series of exclusive, one-time dining events.

Participating restaurants will include several establishments currently ranked on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024, such as The Chairman (No. 4), Sorn (No. 11), Mingles (No. 13), Baan Tepa (No. 42), Chef Tam’s Seasons (No. 49), Born & Bred (No. 64), and Alla Prima (No. 91). Additionally, Boragó, ranked No. 29 on The World 50 Best Restaurants 2024, will also be part of this exciting event.

On March 22, enjoy a special dinner (KRW500,000) at Born and Bred, where Macau and Seoul collide for an exclusive culinary event featuring the talented chef Kwok Fung Tam of Chef Tam’s Seasons. The event marks the opening of the new venue, Born and Bred Original. Host chef Kyung-hwan Min will elevate these offerings with his renowned Hanwoo cooking. Following this, on March 23, Boragó (ranked No. 29 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024 list) will come all the way from Chile, showcasing chef Rodolfo Guzmán as he collaborates with Michelin-starred restaurant Evett and host chef Joseph Lidgerwood for a special dinner (KRW350,000) featuring a fusion of Latin American and Asian cuisines.

For those who can’t make it to the dinner with Boragó on the 23rd, dine at the Michelin-starred Mingles, where you can enjoy a wine and dine experience (KRW 750,000, including wine pairing). This special event will feature dishes created in collaboration with chefs Danny Yip and Kwok Keung Tung from The Chairman in Hong Kong, Supaksorn ‘Ice’ Jongsiri from Sorn in Bangkok, and Jin-Hyuk Kim from Alla Prima in Seoul.

On March 24, for lunch, Seoul’s Soul will host the newly crowned Asia’s Best Female Chef 2025, Chudaree ‘Tam’ Debhakam from Baan Tepa in Bangkok. She will team up with chefs Hee Eun Kim and Daehyun Yoon to blend the finest Korean dishes with a Thai twist. Taste this menu for KRW 350,000, which will include one glass of Champagne.
Finally, a special dinner will take place on Wednesday, March 26, at Teppan, one of Seoul’s premier dining destinations, in partnership with Hibiki whisky.
