Hidden cocktail bar, The Wise King, located in Hong Kong’s Soho area has added a new set of cocktails to its menu this season, drawing inspiration from Mediterranean flavors.

The bar, which opened in 2018, has earned steady recognition over the years. In 2022, it was ranked No. 34 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars.

The Wise King has made quite a name for itself in Hong Kong, especially when it comes to whipping up some of the best Negronis around. With their new menu, they’re stepping things up with some exciting new twists on this classic bitter aperitif.
First up is the El Sabio with a mix of Campari and Mancino Rosso, lifted by fire tincture and ginger carbonate for a fizzy finish. King’s Negroni softens the classic with olive gin, limoncello, Mancino Rosso, and Kahlua.

Tiramisu goes for dessert-style lightness, with rum, limoncello, passion fruit, and a tiramisu foam. Pistachio is the creamiest option, with rum with pistachio shrub, citrus, and ricotta foam for a slightly savory finish.

The Wise King is located at UG/F, 25 Staunton Street, Soho, Central, Hong Kong. It’s open daily from 5pm to 1am. Follow the bar on Instagram @thewisekinghk for updates.
