What happens when two of the world’s top bartending talents converge? Expectations are through the roof, and everyone’s buzzing for a bar experience like no other.

Lorenzo Antinori, the mastermind behind Hong Kong’s Bar Leone, catapulted his Italian-inspired venue to the top ranks as Best Bar in Asia and No. 2 on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2024 list. Add to that the title of Best New International Cocktail Bar at the 18th annual Spirited Awards in 2024. He’s teaming up with none other than Simone Caporale, a true trailblazer in the bartending world. Caporale is one of the creators of the streaming platform, The Art of Shaking, and the co-founder of Barcelona’s renowned Sips, which not only clinched the coveted No. 1 spot on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023 list but also maintained a commendable No. 3 ranking in 2024. Together, they’re set to open Montana this summer in Hong Kong.

Rooted in friendship and a passion for bartending, their new bar, Montana, will pay homage to the golden age of Cuban cocktails and the infectious rhythm of disco music. Inspired by the craft and heritage of Club de los Cantineros, Cuba’s oldest bartenders’ guild, Montana will channel the dynamic energy of 1970s Miami, celebrating a golden era of Cuban mixology.

Hong Kong is already a cocktail-lover’s paradise, overflowing with variety. Yet, what makes this new venture stand out is the union of these powerhouse bartenders under one roof, crafting unique experiences for the city’s avid bar-goers.

Expect a cocktail menu featuring classic hits like the Daiquiri, Mojito, and El Presidente, each with a unique twist from Antinori and Caporale. More exciting details await—stay tuned as we dish out updates in the coming weeks.
