Mother’s Day is coming and Hong Kong’s top spots are ready. Set menus, hearty brunch, tasting dinners, cakes, flowers, and even Champagne pairings are on the table. This guide covers where to book and what to eat if you’re treating your mom or yourself on this special day.

Rosewood Hong Kong is rolling out a series of special menus across its restaurants from May 9 to 11, ideal for a lunch, family dinner, or something a little more indulgent.

At the steakhouse, Henry, the set lunch (HKD998 + 10%/person) includes oysters, crab cakes, tenderloin, and a strawberry sundae, with a free-flow Champagne option available. For a bit more casual, head to Holt’s Café where they offer an international set for lunch and dinner (HKD880), featuring a seafood platter, French white asparagus, Hong Kong-style barbeque, and dessert. With wine and Prosecco packages from HKD268.

Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Legacy House is serving a lunch set (HKD1,180+ 10% per person) with dishes like scallop dumplings, double-boiled soup, crab udon, and braised Inaniwa udon.

For Spanish flavors, Bayfare Social is serving small plates, with dishes like Crudo de Vieiras (HKD218), Quisquillas Friras with fried blue belly prawns (HKD220), Esparragos Blancos con Jamon (HKD228), and Arroz de Codorniz y Trompeta which is a French quail and black trumpet paella (starts at HKD468). But if you’re craving something Italian, BluHouse brings comfort with their Roman-style pizza made of zucchini, prawn, and burrata, Vitello Tonnato (a loin veal with tuna sauce), Cacio e pepe, and pistachio or chocolate panna cotta.

Over at Marmo Bistro a one-night Parisian-inspired dinner that includes dishes like Coquillettes Jambon Fromage (shell pasta with homemade Jambon de Paris), Moules Marinieres (sautéed bouchot mussels) and a Grand Marnier soufflé for dessert will be served on May 11. 

For something sweet to indulge in or to take home, Butterfly Patisserie has a limited run of chiffon cakes, chocolate bon bons, and matcha madeleines starting from HKD148.

JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong celebrates Mother’s Day on May 11 with curated menus and floral sets across its signature dining spots. At Michelin-starred Man Ho Chinese Restaurant, the Mother’s Day special menu features double-boiled duck soup with fish maw and Mandarin peel, braised Kanto sea cucumber with dried shrimp roe, handcrafted dim sums, and Braised 6-head South African abalone in oyster sauce, steamed yellow croaker fillet with chicken oil. Priced at HKD688/person for lunch and HKD1,388/person for dinner, with a minimum reservation of four guests.

Fish Bar offers an alfresco four-course seafood dinner on May 10 and 11, featuring a seafood platter with lobster, mussels, tiger prawns,  scallops, lobster bisque, a choice of langoustine fusilli or herb-crusted toothfish or truffle risotto, and a Hokkaido milk pudding with bird’s nest for dessert (HKD840/person). 

At Flint, guests can enjoy a Portuguese-inspired four-course dinner. Starters include crispy Bolinhos de Bacalhau (Portugal’s version of coquettes) or Polvo à Lagareiro (octopus, potatoes and garlic in olive oil), followed by a warming bowl of Caldo Verde (a kale and potato soup with smoky chorizo.) For mains, you can choose between the rich, brothy Arroz de Marisco (seafood stew) or Frango Assado (herb-marinated spring chicken with roasted vegetables and cherry tomato sauce).

JW Café and The Lounge will also serve a festive Sunday brunch (priced at HKD958/person) and dinner buffet (priced at HKD738/person) offering seafood dishes, teppanyaki, international favorites and handcrafted chocolates and desserts with free-flowing Champagnes and wines (starts at from HKD308/person)

To go with the meal, the hotel’s floral gift sets and cakes are available for preorder via the JW eShop. Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is pulling out all the stops for Mother’s Day this May 11 with thoughtful menus and treats in its signature restaurants.

At Michelin-starred Lung King Heen, lunch is a six-course celebration of dim sum, seafood, and chef Chan Yan Tak’s signature e-fu noodles with Japanese Red King Crab (HKD1,080 per person). For dinner, the eight-course menu steps things up with crispy wonton dough with lobster and caviar, baked diced abalone, and wok-fried wagyu beef with walnuts and fungus (HKD2,280 per person). Wine pairing is available for an additional HKD1,000.

Three-Michelin-starred French restaurant Caprice, , offers a five-course lunch by executive chef Guillaume Galliot (HKD1,988 per person). Plates like scallop millefeuille with prawn jelly, white asparagus with uni and caviar, and Dover sole with lamb.

The Lounge is offering a three-course set menu for both lunch and dinner (HKD680/person). There’s also a special option that includes a premium bouquet by Gary Kwok Flowers & Design (HKD1,680), with 10% off if purchased through the hotel’s eShop.

Spanish restaurant Siete Ocho at Dorsett Kai Tak is bringing mash-ups to the table this Mother’s Day with a five-course lunch menu served on May 10 and 11. Priced at HKD480 per person, the meal opens with Pan Con Tomato with Serrano ham and scallop mi-cuit with habanero mango sauce, followed by a double-boiled sea whelk soup with matsutake mushroom and baby cabbage.

Guests can choose from two main dishes: spicy beef ribs with chimichurri or Málà pulpo gallego (octopus), along with braised abalone with fish maw or sea cucumber in oyster sauce. Dessert is a double-boiled bird’s nest with milk.

Each mom gets a floral-inspired Sangria on arrival, plus a spin at the Wheel of Fortune for prizes like hotel stays and dining vouchers. After a hearty meal, guests can opt to go up Jin Bo Law Sky Bar for wines and spirits.

Wan Chai’s Casa Sophia Loren is marking Mother’s Day with its signature A’ Tavola Brunch on May 10 and 11, running from 12pm to 4pm. Priced at HKD588 per adult and HKD294 per child (ages six to 12), the brunch includes a generous spread of shared appetizers, three kinds of pasta, a choice of main, and a dessert platter featuring gelato, Italian sweets, and limoncello. Kids under five can dine free.

To make the occasion more special, every mom will receive a candle gift set from The Blomstre, (specializes in eco-soy candles and home fragrances) valued over HKD500. During brunch, moms can also take part in a hands-on scent discovery experience where they can choose from over 25 fragrance options and personalize their own candle to take home.

French restaurant À Poêle is celebrating Mother’s Day with a special three-course Seafood Brunch on May 10 and 11, from 11am to 5pm. Priced at HKD248 per person, with an optional 90-minute free-flow package at HKD148.

Brunch starts with a seafood platter featuring freshly shucked oysters, poached shrimp, whelks, and crudo with condiments. For mains, guests can pick from Merguez Sausage Orecchiette (spiced beef and lamb sausages with pasta), beef cheek bourguignon with mashed potatoes, or steamed mussels with white wine and butter, served with either grilled bread or french fries. Modern Italian trattoria Ask for Alonzo is offering a special three-course Mother’s Day menu on May 10 and 11, available all day from 11am to 10pm across its five locations in Hong Kong. Priced at HKD278 per person, with an optional two-hour free-flow add-on for HKD198.

Start with one of four appetizers: seared tuna with arugula and lemon dressing, fried calamari with lemon mayo and capers, an Italian cold cuts and cheese platter or creamy burrata with heirloom tomatoes, basil, and balsamic. For mains, choose from Alonzo’s signature carbonara with crispy Roman guanciale, truffle and mushroom ragout linguine, rigatoni amatriciana, sSpaghetti alle vongole or prawn and asparagus risotto in a creamy lobster bisque. Tozzo is serving a new menu just in time for Mother’s Day, including an updated weekend brunch set and fresh seasonal pastries. Brunch is served on May 11 and 12 from 11am to 4pm, priced at HKD268 per person. Over at New Territories, Nina Hotel’s Chinese restaurant Rú is celebrating Mother’s Day with two refined nine-course menus by executive chef Simon Wong, available from May 1 to 11. Designed for tables of four to 12 guests, both menus highlight luxurious Cantonese flavors good for a family celebration.

The Indulgence Set Menu (from HKD2,888) features dishes like superior barbecued pork with honey, braised bird’s nest with seafood and scallop, and abalone with goose web in oyster sauce. The meal ends with sweetened Tokachi red bean cream and sesame glutinous rice dumplings.

The Deluxe Set Menu (from HKD4,288) offers roast suckling pig, double-boiled fish maw soup with sea conch and Japanese melon, and baked crab shell with cheese, followed by almond cream with sesame glutinous rice dumplings.

Treat mom to a buffet spread at Café Circles on May 10 and 11 featuring Thai dishes like wok-fried lobster with lemongrass, wok-fried crab with curry, and tom yum seafood soup. The spread also includes roasted beef OP ribs, grilled king crab leg, seafood on ice, sashimi, and sushi.

Craving for teppanyaki? Japanese restaurant Minato is offering two menus: the Hasu Teppanyaki Set and the Fuji Kaiseki Set, both priced at HKD3,388 for two. 

The Hasu Teppanyaki Set starts with three seasonal appetizers and continues with Australian live lobster and Bungo Channel sea bream grilled on the teppan. A5 Miyazaki wagyu beef is served either as tenderloin or wrapped with green onion and garlic, followed by fried rice with whitebait, lobster miso soup, and Japanese fruit.

The Fuji Kaiseki Set offers a more intricate route: three kinds of sashimi (tuna belly, sea urchin, kanpachi), king crab, simmered wagyu, and Iberico pork loin teppanyaki drizzled in brandy. Abalone glutinous rice, miso soup, and seasonal fruit to end the meal.

Free-flow sake (HKD288 per person) is also available on weekends and public holidays, featuring premium pours like Eiko Fuji Ryogin Kosho Junmai Daiginjo and Hakuryu Junmai Hatsushibori Namagenshu.

Just in time for spring, the one Michelin-starred French restaurant, Louise, is launching a signature chocolate box, and a few brunch add-ons for Mother’s Day.

The Louise Chocolate Collection is the debut creation of new head pastry chef Eve Minialai. It’s a 600g dark chocolate sculpture shaped like the Louise facade, made with Arcato 66% chocolate from La Maison de l’Opéra. Inside are 20 luxe bon bons in flavors like roasted pistachio with sea salt, milk chocolate with Pu’erh tea, and salted caramel with toasted cereal (HKD888 or HKD788 if you order six or more). A two-day pre-order is required so be sure to book early

For Mother’s Day, brunch comes with French comfort classics. Guests can add on a bouillabaisse (HKD128) made with red gurnard, rockfish, confit fennel, and housemade rouille or order it à la carte for HKD888. If you’re stuck on what to get mom this year, Lady M Hong Kong has you covered with its 2025 Mother’s Day lineup. The luxury confections brand brings back four crowd-favorite cakes and introduces the new Earl Grey Dacquoise (Made with Japanese almond flour, Australian honey, bergamot and cornflower.) Each crisp-yet-airy piece is HKD26 or HKD158 per box of six. The returning lineup includes the tropical Pink Pineapple Mille Feuille (HKD86 per slice), filled with rum cream and Pinkglow pineapples. The floral Lavender Green Tea Mille Crêpes (HKD82 per slice; HKD540–820 whole) and the chewy-soft Taro Mochi Cream Cake (HKD68 per slice; HKD480–680 whole). Rounding it off is the Rose Mille Crêpes (HKD78 per slice; HKD510–780 whole), topped with rose jelly and edible petals.

The Cakery

Known for its health-forward approach to desserts, The Cakery introduces a new Mother’s Day collection available until May 18 at all Hong Kong locations. This year’s lineup is vintage-inspired design with a creative twist, one of the highlights include half cakes styled like artworks on easels. 

The Garden of Love (HKD768–1,188) features soft pink tones, strawberry flavor, and sugar butterflies, while Painted with Love (HKD698–1,088) layers mauve ruffles on a clean white base for a more classic look. The Endless Love cake (HKD468–768) is a heart-shaped, dairy-free option with piped blooms, and the I Love You Mom mini cake (HKD268) keeps it simple with strawberry jam and white chocolate ganache.

There’s also a DIY Mini Cake Kit (HKD298) for hands-on fun, a box of vegan Sweet Hearts chocolates (HKD268), and a cupcake set (HKD190–570) in flavors like Thrilla Vanilla and Strawberry Wild.
