As temperatures rise, Hong Kong’s restaurants and bars are switching into summer mode with new menus, seasonal cocktails, and fresh dining experiences. From weekend bento boxes and Thai buffets to guest chef collabs and cocktail happy hour, the city offers plenty of reasons to celebrate and stay for good food and drinks this summer. 

Summer Bentos and Father’s Day Menus at Minato

Japanese restaurant, Minato in Wanchai is bringing back its seasonal Torio Bento. Served in a traditional Japanese porcelain, three-tier jubako box, each set includes a starter, main, and dessert, with options like Wagyu tartare, sashimi donburi, and Isoyaki abalone. Available on weekends and public holidays from 12pm to 2.30pm, the bento is HKD388 per person and comes in two sets (limited to 20 servings per day). . You can add a two-hour free-flow sake option for HKD288.

For Father’s Day weekend on June 14 and 15, Minato is offering two menus: a teppanyaki set and a kaiseki set, both at HKD3,388 for two. The menu includes A5 Miyazaki Wagyu, South Australian lobster, king crab, and Ezo abalone. And for a special treat, book by June 8 to get 15% off.

A Six-Hands Cantonese Dinner at Man Ho Chinese Restaurant

On June 6, JW Marriott Hong Kong’s Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant, Man Ho, is bringing together three of the city’s most respected chefs for one special dinner. As part of The Culinary Atelier series by Marriott International, this six-hands experience reunites chef Jayson Tang (Man Ho), chef Hung Chi-Kwong (Rùn), and chef Edwin Tang (Cuisine Cuisine at The Mira) for a one-night menu that celebrates Cantonese cuisine.

It starts with cold and hot starters, followed by seafood, premium meats, and a few modern takes on Cantonese classics. The meal ends with three small desserts that keep things balanced. It’s a structured menu that highlights the chefs’ shared roots and distinct styles.

Dinner is priced at HKD1,688 per person, with optional Chinese wine pairing available. And for keeps, guests will also take home a bottle of Trinity Blend Sauce, a collaborative creation by the three chefs.

Following a successful Mother’s Day debut, Casa Sophia Loren in Wan Chai is launching A’ Tavola Brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 4pm.Celebrating Southern Italian flavors, the brunch menu includes seven shared appetizers like oysters, burrata, beef and tuna tartare, octopus carpaccio, and green salad. Guests can enjoy unlimited classic pasta refills like carbonara and cacio e pepe followed by a choice of mains such as roasted beef, grilled lamb chops, eggplant parmigiana, or seafood carta fata. And a dessert platter with limoncello wraps up the experience. Free-flow add-ons range from sodas (HKD80) to wines, cocktails, and Moët & Chandon or Ruinart Champagne options (HKD200 to HKD600).

Authentic Indian Cuisine Feast at Chaat

Rosewood Hong Kong’s Michelin-starred Chaat will host India’s award-winning Indian Accent(ranked No.46 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025) for a two-day kitchen takeover this June. 

On June 20 (dinner) and June 21 (lunch and dinner) executive chef Shantanu Mehrotra of Indian Accent will join forces with Chaat’s Gaurav Kuthari to present a collaborative menu combining signatures from both restaurants. There will be modern takes on Indian classics like Wagyu with onion korma, Kerala-style halibut, black dairy dal, and spiced desserts. The set is priced at HKD888for lunch and HKD1,698 for dinner.

Cocktail and Caviar Pairing at Qura Bar

From June 2 to July 31, Regent Hong Kong’s flagship bar, Qura, is offering a caviar series with a curated four-course menu built around Prunier Oscietra Caviar. Served as refined bar bites or full dinner sets, each dish includes five grams of the premium French caviar. The experience comes with a cocktail pairing designed to enhance the caviar’s flavor. 

The dinner menu is priced at HKD1,788 per person, which includes a special vodka cocktail Bloom & Sand, and an optional vodka pairing for HKD350.

Celebrate World Gin Day with House Gin

Zuma brings a new take to its famed brunch with the launch of Shūmatsu Brunch on June 14 and 15. Timed with Father’s Day, the new brunch introduces a baikingu station (a Japanese-style buffet in front of the robata grill) serving unlimited hot dishes like pork gyoza with yuzu truffle, shrimp karaage, tempura, miso chicken, Angus sirloin, and more. 

The experience starts with a curated spread served to table: sushi, sashimi, and signature starters such as seared beef with truffle ponzu and soft-boiled egg potato salad. Premium upgrades like roasted lobster (HKD220) and A4 Miyazaki wagyu (HKD590) are available. The brunch ends with Zuma’s signature dessert platter. There’s also four drink packages ranging from soft drinks (HKD788) to Dom Pérignon pours (HKD2,888), with 2.5 hours of free-flow. And for a more celebratory vibe, there will be a live percussion set on launch day.

HKD90 Cocktails at Courtroom Happy Hour

Courtroom in Central has a new happy hour lineup called Guilty Pleasures, running from Sunday to Thursday, from 5pm to 8pm. The bar is offering cocktails for HKD90 each, which includes drinks like White Negroni Sbagliato, Kiwi Old Fashioned, Dukes Martini, and El Diablo, split across four categories: aperitifs, spirit forward, sours, and highballs.

With its courtroom-inspired interiors and focused cocktail list, Courtroom keeps things straightforward for the after-work crowd. No bookings needed, you just walk in, grab a drink, and wind down.

fering East-meets-West specials for lunch and dinner on June 14 and 15, including chilled baby geoduck with Sichuan pepper, roasted goose with plum sauce, and Typhoon Shelter-style crab. At Bayfare Social, the Spanish spot is doing sharable Father’s Day dishes like white bait with aioli, Galician scallops, and Ibérico pork paella. Italian restaurant, BluHouse, celebrates with Italian regional plates like veal tonnato, Tuscan seafood stew, and pistachio tiramisu from June 13 to 15. Cantonese fine-dining restaurant The Legacy House offers an eight-course set dinner (HKD2,380 per person) on June 14 and 15, featuring abalone, wagyu, green lobster, and double-boiled soups. And French bistro Marmo is hosting a one-night-only Father’s Day dinner on June 15 with black truffle scallop carpaccio, beef Wellington (HKD788 for two), and Île Flottante for dessert. For something sweet, Butterfly Patisserie is offering three limited desserts (coffee chiffon cake, black sesame millefeuille cake and pistachio chocolate cigars) from June 2 to 15 which are available for pickup or delivery.

Bar Leone Turns Two  

Award-winning Bar Leone in Hong Kong is celebrating its second anniversary with a lineup of guest shifts featuring some of the most respected names in the global bar scene. From June 1 to 10, the award-winning bar (ranked No. 2 on the World’s 50 Best Bars 2024) will host a series of one-night-only takeovers by leading bartenders from Miami, New York, and London.

The series begins on June 1 with Julio Cabrera of Miami’s Café La Trova, known for his Cuban cantinero-style bartending and his bar’s No. 13 ranking on North America’s 50 Best Bars 2024.
