Caprice Bar, the flagship bar of Michelin-starred French dining restaurant Caprice at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, just launched a new cocktail menu called ‘Elements’, featuring nine drinks inspired by textures and elements found in nature. Each cocktail is linked to an element like flower, leaf, fire, or wood and comes with its own display box that guests can open, making the menu interactive and hands-on.

The drinks (HKD220/cocktail), designed by bar manager Anyss Saintilan, light and gradually builds in flavor.
The first drink, Flower, is a light aperitif-style mix of Campari, vermouth, and house-made saffron water. Anyss notes it’s inspired by how the restaurant uses saffron in the kitchen. Cotton comes next, a smooth and creamy cocktail, a combination of the Grasshopper and Ramos Gin Fizz style, that brings together mint, cream, cacao, and soda in a texture that mirrors its name. Water introduces a mix of Champagne, oyster leaf, and elderflower and despite containing no fruit, it delivers a surprising mango note.

Leaf highlights pandan and coconut oil-infused gin, with celery, lime, and absinthe for a surprising, herbal drink. Leather is Caprice’s take on the New York sour. Using Kanosuke Japanese whisky, lemon, sugar, and egg white, with a splash of Bordeaux wine and house-made fruit leather as garnish. Fire draws on personal memory (inspired by Saintilan’s wife’s banana chocolate cake) and features banana and chocolate-infused Cuban rum flambéed tableside over caramelized banana.

Feather is one of the most punchy drinks on the list, combining duck fat-washed Armagnac with Sauternes wine and aged XO Armagnac, reminiscent of the foie gras region of France. Wood is built around sandalwood-aged Cognac and served with a floating smoke bubble that releases aromatic notes when popped. The final cocktail, Air, is a seasonal take on the white Negroni made with cucumber-infused gin, Lillet, Suze. The base recipe will change with the seasons, with rotating flavors like pineapple, mandarin, or pear.
